I did not have any data in outlook anyways. I had no problems because of canceling it. I canceled this process, so I am not sure what happens if you let it finish. I think the program can automatically interface itself into Outlook, and gather contact information. You may be asked for your Microsoft Office CD. I recommend C:\Program Files\ or C:\Documents and Settings\User\My Documents\ The files are extracted and run directly from where they are extracted to. You may get internet for your Laptop through iPhone's hotspot. The same sync process can work even over cellular. Any activity in one device will reflect in another "live" (Based on your internet connection). There you go, both you devices are in sync now. Contacts, Calendars and Notes will sync on iOS device, no matter what app you have on your Laptop. (Which app you choose, here, is your call), You may opt for Outlook 2019 for laptop and the same is not required for an iOS device. Use your credentials and add them to your iPhone (You need not add email, the choice is yours)Īdd the same account on you Laptop. Have you tried Settings > Password & Accounts > [Select Google, iCloud, AOL, Exchange, Outlook, Yahoo or any Other} I have an iPhone 6 12.4.5, iPhone SE iOS 13.3.1 and iPad Pro iOS 13.3.1 and all my contacts, calendars, notes, reminders are all synced and is available on all devices. Not wanting to store info on iCloud is your prerogative, I have no say in that. The very purpose of having a third party app to sync Contacts, Calendars and Notes with your Windows Laptop is not clear to me. Is there a way to sync without iTunes on the laptop? Other than the iPhone, I am thoroughly entrenched in the Windows ecosystem, and iTunes is an enormous system to install just for syncing. I can live with iOS EssentialPIM, but having to install iTunes on the laptop is really giving me pause. Then I found that, according to the online documentation ( ), it requires iTunes on the laptop and iOS EssentialPIM on the phone, even though it uses the native calendar and contacts on the phone - no mention about syncing notes! Does anyone using this know whether notes sync?įor that matter, does anyone know whether iOS EssentialPIM is needed? I've since looked at EssentialPIM, even looking into learning about its embedded Firebird database so that I have better control of the data. When I moved to Windows 10, I found that Outlook desktop could only be bought as part of Office desktop for more than half a grand (Canadian). That was all before Windows 7 support dropped. It synced over local WiFi, as I am not comfortable having my information in the cloud. It used to sync with Outlook on my Windows lapop. I use the iPhone's native Calendar, Contacts, and Notes apps (not email).
